It is very easy to meet new people and make friends in Big Canoe. We all come to Big Canoe for similar reasons: to enjoy nature, have fun, and live an active life. I have lived in Big Canoe for the past 20 years and love it.
What helped me get to meet friends is through two activities: work on various Big Canoe committees, and participation in community amenities. I joined Leadership Big Canoe and was an active member, on the Board, and served as Board President. I would recommend Leadership Big Canoe to every new member of our community. I also served on the Clubhouse committee to provide feedback to management as to how to continually improve the Clubhouse service to residents. The third activity that I was involved with was on the Tour of Homes committee. I was in charge of the live auction and managed the process of getting donations for the live auction. It was a very successful year.
The other activity that helped me meet new friends was through the Big Canoe Wellness Center where I have been going to Big Canoe Boot Camp for the past 15 years.
